Curtis Lee Baldwin III (b. July 12, 1991) better known as

KiD3RD (Kid-Third), is an artist, songwriter, producer and engineer from Los Angeles. Kid3rd comes from a well- known family of musicians. His grandparents are the legendary Dick Griffey, founder of SOLAR Records and Carrie Lucas who was a soul singer on the SOLAR record label. Kid3rd's mother is Carolyn Griffey of the R&B musical group Shalamar and his father is Curtis Baldwin Jr. of the hit TV show "227". Kid3rd's musical influences range from the great Bob Marley to hip hop's Kanye West. Many of his production influences also come from the musicians he grew up around such as BattleCat, JellyRoll, Blaqthoven and many more west coast legends. But his most primary influencer was his dad who was not only in the entertainment business but also a music artist. At the age of 14 Kid3rd starting making music. Initially he didn't want to pay for production so he started perfecting his craft as a producer. As a producer, Kid3rd's father advised him that there were other components to being in the music game. Soon after, not only was Kid3rd making beats but he was writing songs and also becoming quite a good artist himself. Currently Kid3rd and his father own RLGG Records. RLGG is a family owned independent record label where Kid3rd is not only an executive in the music company but also a producer, artist and songwriter. He has a few songs available on multiple digital platforms and gearing up to release an EP later this fall. Check out Kid3rd on the social networks @kid3rd.
