RUN THE JEWELS SHARE MUSIC VIDEO FOR "DON'T GET CAPTURED"

CW Music 3:20 PM
Run the Jewels is proud to premier the new video for the song "Don't Get Captured", the latest offering from their breakthrough new album, Run the Jewels 3. Created by award-winning director Chris Hopewell (whose previous work includes Radiohead's "Burn The Witch" music video) & Jacknife Films, the video features El-P & Killer Mike embodied as claymation models as they take a ride through a modern-day house of horrors. A poignant allegory for our times, the power & depth of the visuals underscores Run The Jewels' epic song perfectly (check it here).

This release arrives on the back of Run the Jewels' starring role on the recent Danger Mouse single & video for "Chase Me" (also featuring Outkast's Big Boi), from the motion picture Baby Driver, which debuted as the #1 film in America last week. Killer Mike makes a cameo appearance in the film as well, and the music video can be seen here.

The dynamic duo recently completed a nearly month-long run of dates in Europe, including an epic performance at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, where their unofficial opening act was UK Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn (photos here). The group also released a UK remix for "Down" produced by Z-Dot (StormyWileyLady Leshurr), and gave a keynote talk with Pulse Films on Innovative Partnerships at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity

Run the Jewels is readying for a busy rest of summer, with a host of key festival dates (including Capitol Hill Block PartyFYFLollapalooza, and many more), plus their biggest venue show ever at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium July 22nd. They'll also be making a national TV appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! July 20th, performing a 5-song set to an outdoor audience. Fall 2017 sees the group hitting the road hard once again for US & European tours, with guests Danny Brown and Denzel Curry, preceded by a late August date with Eminem in Glasgow, Scotland (see dates below).

In other RTJ-related news, earlier this year the group launched its own craft beer (in collaboration with Brooklyn's Interboro Brewery), which was recently named the #1 I.P.A. in America by Draft Magazine (read more here). Named after a track from RTJ3, the next Stay Gold collaboration is with Pipeworks Brewing Co. in Chicago, with whom they'll be launching a week-long Lollapalooza pop-up shop featuring RTJ-inspired art, installations, custom merchandise & more. And prior to their main stage Lollapalooza performance on August 4th, RTJ will have the honor of throwing out the 1st pitch at a baseball game for the World Champion Chicago Cubs. Killer Mike also recently announced the opening of the latest outpost of his homegrown barbershop chain The S.W.A.G Shop at the new Philips Arena, home to the NBA's Atlanta Hawks (read more here).
