Pittsburgh hasn't exactly been known as a hotbed for hip hop talent like other major cities. Though as time moves on, more artists are ready and getting closer to breaking those doors down. Two of those artists are Smaccz & Hozay Bandz. Fresh off the release of their new video "Live From The Trap", both are very confident in what the future holds for their music careers.
Drawing inspiration from G. Herbo, Chief Keef, Meek Mill, P. Rico and Rich Kidz, the young artists have been friends for about ten years and started making music together three years ago. Fans gravitate towards their noticeable chemistry on collaborations, having achieved over 2 million views so far on videos for their "Don't Sell Molly No More" remix and over 800,000 views on "4th Quarter". Although all their solo songs and collaborations with others do respectable numbers, it seems fans go crazy when they come together and the songs become regional hits.
"Live From The Trap", which is a remix to Gucci Mane's hit "Go Head", comes after a 2 year hiatus from working with eachother because of separate legal issues. Fans were long-anticipating fresh content from the duo. The new video is sure to satisfy young and old viewers alike. Their idea came together after a performance at Devils & Dolls Nightclub in Pittsburgh and the original song came on. "We both liked the beat and decided to do the song to it. Recorded it at Wally World Studios and had CaseFilmz shoot the video."
"Live From The Trap" is already on its way to regional hit status, having passed 9,000 views in the first day of release and still moving. Now that their legal troubles are behind them, the duo is more focused than ever. They are working hard on an EP set to drop this winter and want to keep up their consistency from here.
