South Central LA rapper G Perico, Compton based Jay Worthy and acclaimed Texas-via-Minnesota producer Cardo have joined forces for the most exciting west-side connection this year, G-Worthy. The group will release their new project titled Never Miss on via Fool's Gold and share the title track to the project today. G-Worthy's Never Miss is gangster rap to the core and is best described by Cardo as "late night mobbin": music to be played while cruising the city to authentic loc'd-out vibes.
The jheri curled G-Perico is having a career year with his critically acclaimed album All Blue ("G Perico studied rap's legends, now he's ready to become one" - The FADER). Jay Worthy, the A$AP Yams
approved visionary behind LNDN DRGS and collabs with The Alchemist and P On The Boards, has been killing it with his modern take on classic funk samples. Fool's Gold put out Cardo's first instrumental EP in 2012, knowing he was a heir to DJ Quik's groove with a futuristic bop all his own; since then, Cardo has crafted platinum records for Travi$ Scott, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, and he brings G-Worthy full circle as a Fool's Gold rap release like none other.
