Curtis Williams (of Two-9) Joins iLL Chris On "We Do Not Play"

CW Music 4:12 PM
Seattle rapper iLL Chris has been on a serious hot streak this past year or so, releasing a fire album, Honor Thy Father, along with a number of loose bangers to his fanbase. That includes his latest drop, the hypnotic “We Do Not Play,” which features Two-9’s Curtis Williams, alongside thumping production provided by 808 Mafia’s, 808 Banks.
When you see the names iLL Chris and 808 Banks together, you know you’re in for a big track, outfitted with a booming low-end and plenty of bravado. And sure enough, “We Do Not Play” delivers all that and much more. Chris’ knack for writing catchy hooks is on full display here, and you just know that this song will take on another life as part of his always-crazy live shows.
And then there’s the guest verse from Williams, who opens the song with breakneck bars, laden with slick wordplay. He’s been having one hell of a year, too, and his Two-9 crew recently dropped their acclaimed debut album, FRVR. Be sure to give that a listen if you haven’t yet—it’s one of 2017’s best releases date.
“We Do Not Play” is now available through all major digital retailers and streaming outlets, via Connoisseurs League Music/EMPIRE Distribution.
