With the release of his fourth studio album on the horizon, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Miguel has released a new song "Pineapple Skies," the new single off his highly anticipated upcoming album War & Leisure. Along with the single, Miguel has released a new augmented reality video for all of his fans on Spotify. The vertical video for "Pineapple Skies", meant to be watched on smartphones, was created with an augmented reality app built with creative coding library openFrameworks and Apple's newly released ARKit framework.
The technology allows viewers to freeze camera frames in 3D, create tunnels, and paint with the camera. The AR elements, all shot on an iPhone, casually follow Miguel amongst a surrealist landscape, weaving in and out of pineapples.
"Pineapple Skies" is streaming across all platforms now - the augmented video is available for all of his fans on Spotify. Watch / listen at the links below.
