Today, Grammy award-nominated artist Wale makes a triumphant return in the new year with the remix of SZA’s massive chart-topping single “The Weekend.” Listen here via Billboard. On the track, Wale contributes his signature poetry-esque flow giving the record a refreshing and unique male perspective. Wale raps, “I’m sorry we got us a lil’ problem. Monogamy not for the weak-hearted.” Wale, a master of words, simply told Billboard “I’m back.” In 2015, SZA and Wale collaborated on MMG’s collective project titled The Album About Nothing. Wale was most recently featured on N.E.R.D.’s “Voila” with Gucci Mane from N.E.R.D.’s latest critically acclaimed album, No One Ever Really Dies. Wale is currently in the studio working on new music.
